About FreshFlyer

What FreshFlyer is

FreshFlyer is an independent weekly grocery ad aggregator focused on regional and independent supermarket chains in the United States. We pull current weekly ads from chains like Aldi, Lidl, Meijer, Winn-Dixie, Stater Bros, Grocery Outlet, ShopRite, Hannaford, H-E-B, Wegmans, and several dozen others, and present them in a single browseable index sorted by retailer and by product category.

We do not sell groceries. We do not run a delivery service. We do not own a single store. Our entire job is to take public weekly ad data — which is already published every Wednesday by every grocery chain in America — and make it dramatically easier to compare, browse, and plan around.

Why we focus on regional chains

The most-aggregated weekly ad data on the internet today belongs to the largest national big-box retailers. That coverage is fine, but it misses where the real grocery savings live. Regional chains — H-E-B in Texas, Stater Bros. in Southern California, Hannaford in northern New England, Bashas' in Arizona, Schnucks in Missouri, Brookshire's in east Texas — compete fiercely on weekly ad pricing because their margins depend on local loyalty, not national distribution. Their loss leaders run deeper, their meat manager specials are sharper, and their store-brand pricing routinely beats the national chains by 20–30% on identical products.

The catch with regional chains is that their weekly ads are scattered across two dozen different websites, each with its own region picker, login wall, and PDF viewer. FreshFlyer collapses all of that into a single page. That's our reason to exist.

Where the data comes from

Our weekly ad data is sourced from publicly accessible flyer datasets — primarily Flipp's public items search endpoint, supplemented by structured retailer-published deal data and our own daily scraping of regional chain weekly ad pages. Every price you see on FreshFlyer is the price the retailer is publicly advertising for the current weekly ad cycle (typically Wednesday morning through the following Tuesday night). Final in-store prices may vary slightly by location and are subject to availability while supplies last; FreshFlyer is not a party to any sale and does not guarantee in-stock availability at any specific store.

How we make money

FreshFlyer is funded by advertising and partner referrals. We never charge shoppers, and we never sell shopper data. We display contextual advertising on most pages and earn small referral commissions when a shopper signs up for a free grocery loyalty program or related service through one of our partner links. None of this changes the prices you see; we don't get paid more or less based on which deal you click.

Who's behind it

FreshFlyer is operated by a small independent team of former grocery retail and consumer-data analysts who got tired of opening 12 browser tabs every Sunday morning. We started this site because we wanted it to exist — not because we thought there was a giant business in it. The fact that ad-supported aggregator sites can sustain themselves modestly on Adsense and partner referrals is what keeps it going.
